I've been fighting my way back into the shop this week. My creativity comes and goes, and my sessions are very short compared to normal. At this point I don't know what normal is, so am grateful for every opportunity to return to a somewhat regular routine. Sculpting and creating has always been an escape for me, offering a chance to enter another reality if only for a short time.
It seems some things are too large and horrible to escape from.
Anyway, here's a new creature I finished this week. I am not ready to delve into his story, but I am sure there is something he would like to tell.
Perhaps later.
Oh Dave, normal is whatever you are feeling at any given moment. I'm glad to see you got into the shop. My heart aches for you.

ReplyDeleteThis little guy's face is very reminiscent of a baby robin's face. He is endearingly childlike.
ReplyDeleteAgain, love and a hug to you and your family as you work through dealing with the loss of your son.
